The Oxylator®
EM-100
Oxylator®
EM-100
is a patient-responsive, oxygen-powered resuscitation/inhalation
device intended to provide emergency ventilatory support for
adults. Utilizing recently patented
technology, the EM-100 gives the care giver utmost flexibility
in airway management during emergencies and attended short-term
ventilation.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies the EM-100
in Class II (two) under the Product Code 73 BTL. The device
meets the performance standards as set out in ASTM F920-85 and
ISO 8382. The EM-100 is a Class I (one) device as referenced
in the The Journal of the American Medical Association
(JAMA) 'Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
and Emergency Cardiac Care', American Heart Association (AHA).

Advantages of the Oxylator® EM-100:
- Is neither a 'vent' nor 'demand valve'
- Only O2-powered patient responsive/feedback
resuscitation management system available
- Allows improved and proper airway management
- Small, simple, safe, and effective
- Total flexibility due to four modes of operation
- Low O2 consumption (12-16 liters
per minute)
- Won't stack breaths or trap air
- Alerts to airway blockage or mask leaks
- Reduces operator fatigue
- Aconstant low-flow generator, lowering risk
of gastric insufflation
- 100% O2 delivered to patient
during positive pressure ventilation
- Compact design offers unequaled advantages
in confined spaces, e.g. extrications
- No O2 wasted to power the device
- Safe, selectable, maximum pressure settings
available to minimize the danger of barotrauma
- Easy to clean and maintain
- Synchronizes automatically with a care giver's
chest compressions permitting safe cpr
- 5 year warranty
- Alerts to changes in lung compliance
- Operates in chemical/biological settings
if patient is not breathing
- Accommodates disposable viral/bacterial
filter in the patient connection if desired
- Minute volume is maintained in automatic
mode regardless of pressure setting selected
- Patented technology permits ventilatory
cycling with patient's own rhythm
- Meets AHA guidelines, ISO and ASTM standards
for O2 resuscitators
